I have a 1947 WC. I was wondering what plow would of come from Allis Chalmers to use with it?
Of course, I have no hydralics on the WC, so it would have to be a trip plow.
I would like to know what model it would of been?
Would it have been 2 bottom 14 inchers?
I would like to find a plow like that.
Thanks
Mike in Walford.

Around here (Green Bay, WI) a person can usually only pull about 1/2 the plow the tractor is pictured as pulling in the original sales literature. A good runnign WC would have its hands full pulling 2x12's.

Hey Glenn It certainly does make a difference where you are dropping that plow, once we had some alfalfa sod to break up and we had an MD with an M&W kit (super M specs), that old Allis #2 was all it wanted in 2nd gear. Harry

Hello MT The plows that came with our "36 and "38 WCs were the #2, two fourteen inch bottoms, rope trip and on steel wheels and had a tail wheel. The mould boards had such a twist if you went too fast plowing sod it would roll completely over and the green side would still be up. They were good plows. Hope you find one, Harry

Mike, I"ve got a #2 on steel in Northeast MO. I really hadn"t thought about selling it because it has been in the family for 70 years, but.... The tail wheel is missing as are the coulters. I"ve even got some pictures someplace if you are interested.
