what is the correct oil filter part # for a wd45
right now it has a wix brand

the correct filter is a FRAM C159 or Baldwin T300M- check farm stores.

oops,found receipt, NAPA filter came from auto repair shop. The filter from AGCO I had on before this one is a generic C159 with a part number on the box of 70240912.

Hi Paul,

I also ran across the "generic" C159 in my filter investigation. Scroll down towards the bottom for the C159 discussion. I wonder what's up with Fram in that regard? It's unusual for a manufacturer not to have his logo on his product. As far as I am concerned, the "generic" C159 is identical to the NAPA 7011 except for the labelling.

I don't find it odd to find a filter with no logo on it. i had to pick up some spin on fuel fitlers the other day.. needed 3 of them.. Napa had 2 of them, and the other i had to go to carquest, have them cross the napa number and get 'their' brand.

When i got back tot he shop and opened all 3 boxes.. all 3 were the same filter.. same microprinting and everything. They had sequence #'s on them.. the 2 from napa were right in sqeuence with each other... the one from car quest was only about 20#'s different.. thus.. they all came from the same manufacturer about a few minutes apart.. and some went into napa boxes.. and some went into carquest boxes.. neither had a logo on them..

My wd45 currently has a NAPA 7011 oil filter I received from my agco dealer.

The correct wix filter works well but if its the wrong one you will have little or no oil preassure. I use them all the time but I make sure its the one that work right.
