Since I don't have a manual for the B, can someone tell me what kind of oil goes into the diff. ? Also, does the hydro pump pull from the same reservior ? differential looks dry and hydro just screams.

I vote for 20w hydraulic/ trans oil. If you use 80-90 hydraulics will be very slow especially in winter.

Ok, I checked my manual and it calls for 20W. 6qt"s and 7qt"s if it has a PTO. My B has a pump as well, so if you add that to the mix 8qt"s would be about right

20 wt was original fill. today most use the universal hydraulic- transmission fluid. you can get a 2 gallon bucket at Wal Mart for $15. only use the gear lube (80-90) if you dont have hydraulics. best bet, but the hydraulic fluid.

I am running stright 30W in my B with a lift and have been for seven years. I'm sure that is what it called for in the manual. I would think that you would run the heavy oil without the hydraulic pump.

Years ago when I worked at an Allis dealer, 20W-20 was what was used in the B/C tran/differ as the hydro pump also uses this oil. Now I would use the Transmission/Hydro that is use in many modern tractors.

Well its as I said 3 drains but only one fill plug. Tranny rear end and hyds all one in the same oil supply. The I-T manual calls for 8qts of oil. But it doesn't say what to put in it. When I was working on my C I called the local AGCO to see what they say to put in and they told me I could use hy-tran or 80W-90 or 80W-140
