I have a WD 45 that smokes like a chimney. Before I tear the engine down. What should my compression be? And I would appreciate any comments or help you can offer.

Thanks Dave

Anything over 100psi is good but the higher the better. 100 psi is about as low as one will go and still run ok but I have seen lower and still do ok. Your problem could be bad valve seals/guides, sticking rings or a few other things. One way to check if its sticking rings is put about a 1/4-1/2 cup of tranny fluid in each cylinder and let it sit a couple days. Then start it up and see if its smokeing less
