Allis WD PTO Shaft

I have an Allis Chalmers WD and it came with a PTO shaft with a bearing installed. How do I install this on my tractor because it looks as if it uses two different types of different rearend covers. (one for using the pto shaft and one without- currently installed) Could it be that this shaft doesn't even go with this tractor. Anyone out there, if you can help me out with your AC expertise, I'd appreciate it! Thanks! Chris

The PTO shaft on a WD fits underneath the tractor. I suspect the shaft does not fit a WD. I am taking a guess here but what you describe makes me think the shaft may be off of a D series.

Kinda hard to tell you anything without seeing what you have. Could you take pictures of what you have? My WD just has a regular shaft with no rear cover.
