was looking at trying to get a magnum, however seems a pit pricey lately, we got a good ac dealer close by and they get some of these 8000 series in, repair them and put them out pn the lot for around 20000, he claims very good service out of them, powershift really hold up? i guess they were never that popular oround here, usually poor resale compared to the other colors, how are they? thanks for any replies

the 8000s were ok cab is the hi point engine the low. the trans and rear end were mostly the same as the 7000 series. we saw problems with mfwd king pins with the wide tires balencers, rod bolts and broken cranks. i have seen some with lots of hours. probally if it has made it this long its a good one

I had an 8050 for several years. Was a good pulling tractor. It was a powershift and FWA. The only complaints were that it is a bit rough riding with the short wheelbase and it was heavy on fuel. 11 gph pulling a 14" chisel plow. That is uncharacteristic as the AC"s we"d had previously were pretty efficient. The cab was way ahead of it"s time as far as roominess. Transmission has been very trouble free over the years.

We have an 8010. It is alright nothing to brag about by any means. I think they are a little top heavy. We havent replaced a part on it yet that wasnt really expensive. 100 bucks for a lower radiator hose. Personally I wouldnt buy another one, but it is up to you.
