WD lubricant Question

I own an AC WD. My son pulled the drain plug on the PTO unit beneath the tractor. I am unsure of how to refill and what type of lubricant to use. I know about the dipstick to measure the universal hydraulic fluid, but I wasn't sure if that is one in the same. From a lubricant perspective is the engine oil and the hydraulic fluid all that I need to be concerned about or is there gear oil like you would have in a auto differential?

There are three plugs which you need to check. One is right behind the clutch for the hydraulics. The second plug back is for the transmission which includes the pto unit, the third is for the ring gear and pinion. And while you're at it, you may as well check the final drives also...probably the most neglected one of all.

According to the manual: Hydraulics: 3-1/2 gals. Cap. Above 45 degrees; SAE 20W oil, Below 45 degrees; 10W oil. Must be non-foaming oil! I personally use a good grade of hydraulic oil year 'round. Trans., differential and hand clutch: 18 Qts with PTO. Use SAE 80EP all year. Note: fill all three compartments through transmission plugs. Drain plugs are located on bottoms of differential, transmission, hand clutch (PTO) housings. Final drives: 1-3/4 Qts. each. Use SAE 80EP Note: bottom pan has to be removed to drain. I don't know why A-C didn't put plugs in the bottom of the final drives; especially when they recommend changing the oil twice a year.
