bob- there were two ways to put the cast hub onto the axle shaft. the original B had a 2 inch diameter axle shaft with big tapered splines on it. you pushed teh cas hub onto the splines, then install a big hex nut on the outside and tighten it dwon to pull the hub tight on the taper. later the c came out and the splines were eliminated and a plate with 5 bolts made onto the axle shaft. now the cast hub was installed just like an automotive wheel. the B continued to use the splines on 90% of the tractors. if you bought an adjustable front axle tractor, they put the 5 stud axle shaft on that tractor.--- the C hub was a deep dish and the B hub was a shallow dish. the guys said at a later date the B used the C hub, i dont know, that may be true. All of the wheels (rims) installed with 4 "locks" on the outer edge of the hub that camlock to the rim. This is after 1940. the original 1938-39 had a couple other "first year" modifications in this area. cant be sure what you have.

the B only has an inch or two dish, the C is several inches deep. same bolt pattern.---- most B did not have the bolted hub. Most had the splined axle shaft design.
