Hi Weslyn, Assuming your pto housing is original for that year, it will have a 1-1/8" diameter pto shaft and both the pto shaft and the belt pully shaft will have a spiral groove in them for a leather seal, not a modern rubber lip-type seal. The groove in the shaft will not permit a seal using a rubber lip-type seal. When I did both those seals on my '42B, I was able to use a lip-type seal on the pto shaft anyway by positioning the sealing lip just beyond the end of the spiral groove. I used a National #450162 seal. For the belt pulley shaft, it was not possible to position a lip-type seal outside the groove. I used a stainless steel speedi-sleeve and a rubber lip-type seal for that. You can see photos and specific details for that installation here. The parts should be available from any local source of power transmisssion equipment. Caution: there were two different shafts for the belt pulley and two different shaft sizes for the pto used, depending on year. Due to the significant interchangeability of parts on Bs and Cs, unless you are positive that your shafts are original for the year of your tractor, you should measure them carefully before verifying the correct size and purchasing any seals. Note: since I did mine, I have been advised that the old leather seal for the belt pulley shaft is (or was at one time) available from National as part #450444 but I have not confirmed that number as correct. Personally, I would tend to avoid the old leather seals if possible as future availability is very questionable. Rod
