Can anyone tell me where to get a new governor bushing that goes where the governor goes through the block? do i have to go through the dealer or can the bushing be removed and reused without damage? Also, can i change the governor without getting chatter or problems between non matched gears? thanks!!

Thompkins in Eldon will have that part Nate, shoot if you have a credit card they will even ship it to you, guess how I know that?? Yep done it more then once. I also have a gov. sitting here. Did you get my message I left on your phone the other day about putting the sleeves in??

Hey Old, thanks for the reply.... i got your message and greatly appreciate it... been runnin like mad, so i hadnt gotten back with you yet, but believe me, i greatly appreciate your help. i have another governor on my shelf, but didnt know if they gear on it would be ok with the cam and crank gears that are there, or if it would chatter or eat the gear up? thanks again!

The other gov. should work just fine. Ya there might be a little miss match but that will work its self out in just a couple hours of runnung. I'm always happy to help when and if I can, but I think you done figured that out already LOL
