G Allis generator

I am attempting to take a 12volt G Allis back to 6 volts. I found an old generator in a barn. The owner once had a "G". The Delco-Remy numbers are 1018547 8H30. I don't have a parts catalog for the G, but if someone out there has one, would ya check the part number for me? Thanks for any help!!

According to both my oem and I&T service manual, the G takes a 1101854 genny


A check of my g shows a DR tag with 1101854 8F 8

I supose there may also be a genny from a MHP that 'may' fit as well..

I never did come up with a match for that Delco number.

AFAIK, the MHP's used AutoLite generators.

If the bracket is the same, that Al genny may fit.

The casting for the MHP block and the Allis G block is around the same N62 engine, save fro the bellhousing area, AFAIK.. that may open up another avenue for a generator for the poster..

Is the generator you found the little, unusually short unit like the G's used?

I have NOT yet found what a Delco 1018547 was originally used on, but a DID find a reference that lists Delco generators # 1101851 and 1101854 as being used on the Allis "G's".

The generator is rather short. IT measures 4 1/2" in diameter, and 8" in length. 8" is from tip of pulley bolt to end cap on the rear. Also, my dad tells me he thinks generators with black tags were 6 volt and red tags were 12 volts? Ever heard this one? Thanks yall for your help!!
