Restoring 1949 G Allis Chalmers. Need some valve keepers and Crankshaft shims. Anybody know of anyone with spare parts?

You should need 2- 5 shims in front of the brass thrust washers on the N62. You can buy a small sheet of shim stock by Google Best Buy Tractor Parts in Lineville, AL. Not exactly easy to find shim stock any more. Cutting them out is the easiest, either.

Where and why are you going to use the crankshaft shims????. NAPA will have keepers.

The guy doing the engine work just told me he needed them. Something about the crankshaft and the amount of variance. I don"t know, I"m not an engine person. I"m trusting him.
