D17 Traction Booster Gauge

Anyone know where to get a new gauge for the traction booster? Thought I could use any oil pressure gauge but the original gauge has this big hunk of pipe behind it. Is that some kind of snubber or something? Agco dealer has a dummy gauge for $102 that does not connect to anything which seems dumb. Have called over 30 salvage yards with no luck!

Tom do a search for Sloan on this site and some information should show. The one I got looks like new and it was a rebuild from my old core.

In my opinion the gauge isn"t really necessary. The system works just fine without a gauge. You can tell everything you need to know by the sound of the engine and the feel of the tractor as the traction boost system works with an implement. The gauge may help a little in getting your system set correctly, but after that I have found that you never look at the gauge. But if you are doing a nice restoration I can certainly understand wanting one for show.

I believe Norm at Norm's toys has both working and cosmetic gauges.
