I HAVE A D-12AC BACKHOE 1961 MODEL IT HAS A HENRY BACKHOE AND ENDLOADER WHICH WAS INSTALLED BY ALLIS- CHALMERS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS WORTH I AM GOING TO BE SELLING IT. IT IS IN AVERAGE CONDITION

Merle: If as you say the tractor is in good shape, doesn't hop out of gear, have any knocks or leaks, I would hazard a guess at a value of $4500-$6000 around here, at auction. If It were mine and I wanted to get the most out of it, I would advertise it in The Lancaster Farmer out of Ephrata, Pa, or advertise it on this site for free, or list it on the unofficial allis chalmers web page at allis-
chammers.com. The combination of tractor, loader, and backhoe is what makes it valuable.

Where are you located? Does it have the shuttle clutch? Is it a series III(Oval muffler)? Does it hop out of third gear? All of these questions should be answered to determine value. Also serial number located below fuel bowl, on flange of torque tube(bell housing) would be helpfull.

DAVE THANKS FOR RETURNING MY MESSAGE. I LIVE NEAR PEORIA IL. IT DONT HAVE A SHUTTLE CLUTCH. DONT ABOUT WHAT SERIES IT HAS A ROUND MUFFLER BUT I KNOW IT HAS BEEN CHANGED. THE TRACTOR HAS NEVER HOPED OUT OF THIRD GEAR. THE TWO SETS OF SERIAL NO BELOW FUEL BOWL ARE D-12 2896 AND 10-5163-S THANKS AGAIN FOR RETURNING MY MESSAGE MERLE
