Does anyone know what color "G" wheels are supposed to be? A book I saw says fronts all orange and the rear all orange and at sometime galvanized rims on the rear. I have one I"m restoring to original and am frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

there is factory photo's with both painted and galvanized rims on the fronts. I happen to like the look of the galvanized better so I'm doing mine with paint that looks close to galvanized rims.

I RESTORED A CA LAST YEAR & USED THE ORANGE COLOR ON THE AGCO SIGN. TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL.

I suggest you check a post dated 1-04-2007 #87700 and you will find an answer by steve(ill) that's about a good an answer I've seen about AC paint colors.CT

Our G serial #690 I know for a fact is 100% original. We bought it from the original owner and he assured me it had never been repainted. It has galvinized wheel rims, front & back. We also have G serial #6038 which I beleive to have original paint (but can't verify). It has galvanized front wheels & Persian Orange #1 back wheels but this is a high crop unit that has extended wheel rims (7/36 tires) and I don't know if this did make a difference whether it was painted or galvanized. Hope this helps.
