Well when I can arford it I drink Busch but lately I haven't had the money to waste on it. Some how this time of year things get real slow. I have one guy that owns me for 2 hay bales right now and thats 60 bucks which would be nice but oh well. Bad thing is if I had held on to them longer I could have got that out of just one bale.

i have used a inline filter for years on my ca land never had a problem unti it got blocked.. then i had to replace it. of course not before i turned it upside down, which allowed it to work the remainder of the day. Bob

thanx, no, i didn't do a valve job. i was wondering about, if, that was the problem. all the other things are rebuilt, except for the head. Jerry mentioned lack of spark upon excl. but i checked the spark by pulling plug wires and they shot at least a inch. i put a inline filter on it but it did that before i put it on. it has some black liquid out of the exhaust. i did adjust the valves to the best of my ability, which is only (i hope its right kinda thing) by no means am i a mechanic. but again it did that before that two.

Ok now you tell the story better. In line fuel filters are made for engines with fuel pumps and DO NOT work well on gravity feed fuel systems. THROW it away its probably most of if not all of your problem. In line fuel filters need to have the 7-10 PSI of preassure to work as they should and your few gallions on gas in that tank will not begin to have that 7-10 LBS behind it so it restricks the fuel flow. Last year a guy up the road called me becuase his Farmall B would run right. I went up to see if I could help him, found an inline filter on it. Took it off and he hasn't had a problem with it since. Easies case of beer I ever got

We've been told that many things in this world are a supply and demand situation. Might apply here- you demand acceleration and the carb does not supply it. EASY things first- adjust carb, rebuild carb, before more drastic things like a valve job. Doublecheck valve setting before pulling the head. If everything is new and rebuilt, wouldn't the valve job be done already? Apply the KISS formula. Do all adjustments first, before teardown.

Does the engine have a strong ignition spark? Sounds like an increased load of fuel mixture could be drowning out a weak spark.

Check for fuel flow . Maybe the outlet of the tank is partially blocked. Sounds lihe lack of fuel.

I'm with Dick here I think you still have carb problems. I know the carbs on the B/C can be bears to get to work right, BTDT and still have trouble once in a while on my C

A compression check will tell you if the valves are sealing. As you discribed it, I would think it would be a lack of fuel. What did the valves look like on the inside?
