Wc carb that overflows

I have a 36 wc with a carb that floods when the tractor is turned off. How do I know if it is float of needle valve? Is there anything else that could cause this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Take the carb apart and pull the float off. If it is sloshing or has an obvious hole in it, then it's the float. You can also weight it down and put it in water or gas for a day ro so and see if it fills up. Otherwise, it is most likely the needle and seat. No good way that I know of to check one of those. Just buy a new one at about $40 or $50 and hope.

you can shut the gas off at the bowl as soon as you shut it down, or shut it down by turning the gas off. Excess gas should drain out of the bottom vent if it loads up that fast for starting.

The carb on your WC is pretty simple. Like Aaron said about testing the float, also make sure the float bowl vent is not plugged. It will run over if it is. Carb kits are cheap and easy to do. Just clean it good when its apart. Brian
