I buy and sell stuff all the time, I had a guy offer to sell me this tractor. He said it's an AC WD? He told me to make him an offer. I do not need or even really want the tractor but I would like to know what it is and whaat it's worth.
The guy sounded like he has worked a bit on it.
It is a gas model and has hydraulic lift and PTO.
The engine has a rebuilt head and the rings and rod bearings have been replaced. It has magneto ignition. It has been sitting for several months and would need to have minor work done to make it start.

Definitely a WD. From what I can tell sheet metal and tires look good that�s a plus. THIS SURE AINT NO PARTS TRACTOR. That�s for sure. There don�t appear to be a crank pin in it so grab hold of the fan belt and see if the engine can turn over. If it can it�s worth at least $500-800. If it�s locked it�s worth $200-350 depending on if you really want the tractor. It may come lose with some persuasion or it my cost $1000 to overhaul the engine, and that�s if you do it yourself. Make sure you check the oil if it�s over full or milky you got water in the crankcase. Possibly meaning bad freeze out plugs, bad sleeve o-rings or cracked sleeve this knocks the value down. Each can be fixed for relatively cheap if you know what you�re doing. But you can use it as an excuse to knock a couple hundred off the price.
If it does turn over and there�s no water in the oil. All you�ll probably have to do is clean the carb and replace the points and it should fire right up. I wouldn�t worry about the trans, WD�s are notorious for getting stuck in gear but it�s the gear shift leaver and positioning pin that cause the problem not the gears. The lever can be welded up and the pin replaced for fairly cheap if that is a problem.

As other said, she is an Allis Chalmers WD. Not running she is a parts machine because you have no idea what it might need to make it a usable tractor. That muffler laying on the front tells me that most likely water has gotten into the cylinders. NOT a good thing, but also not always a deal breaker. Bad think is the transmission could be the expensive thing to fix and there is no way to know about that until you have the engine running. May of these tractors were abused by the owner trying to shift with only the hand clutch, and now the gears are worn and they won`t stay in gear. Condtion of wheels and tires are a big issue also. New tires can about double the value of a tractor, and cancer on the wheels can make them unusable. In running and working condition you are looking at a tractor that will top out at $1,500., so you can invest too much into one that has issues.

that is a Allis chalmers model WD. the serial number is below the left brake cover on the rear axel. none running might be worth maybe $200.00 as a parts machine.
