Did AC make the 2000 plow in a 3 bottom or can a 4 bottom be modified by dropping one. I am looking for a three bottom, semi mtd plow for my seris 4 D17, would like an orange one before i go looking for another color, thanks.

We have a 4 bottom that uused to be a 5. We cut the beam and moved the last bottom up and shortend the steering linkage to match worked good. we had trouble pulling the 5 bottom.

AC built the 2000 series semi-mounted plows in 3 thru 8 bottoms in 16", and 3 thru 7 bottoms in 18". This is off the cover of the owners manual for my 2000 series plow. Great plow, by the way. Mine is a 4 bottom, and I use it when I can't pull my 5 bottom IH 720 a foot deep.

I am not sure but I think AC's 2000 plow came with no option to drop or add a bottom like Oliver or White I've sold 4's and 5 bottom AC 2000 plows and I don't recall a 3 bottom plow but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. With the price of molboard plows these days and a good fabricating shop you could make your own.
I wish I had kept all the literature I had thrown away when we went out of business I could have retired by now. I've got to believe with all the Series IV D series and 160 and 170 tractors they would have offered that size. Good Luck

I have a three bottom AC 2000 series plow that I would sell. I was going to keep it for parts for my four bottom, but as I say, I would consider selling it. AC did build the three bottom and you could add an additional bottom if you wished, and there was a four bottom that you could add a fifth, etc.
