I"ve never pulled a carb before. I"m assuming I have the MS TSX464 but there"s no tag on it. The number stamped into it is 10-A38. I got it apart to clean it and there was a washer and a small unthreaded pin laying in the bowl. I"m not sure where these parts go. I checked my service and operators manuals but they don"t show an exploded diagram. Where can I get a diagram or instructions on how to reassemble the carb? If I got a carb kit would it come with instructions?

Let's see if this works:

third party image

Should be a picture of a MS carb parts diagram. Like old said, you will get a parts diagram with your kit. Most of the TSX carb kits are about the same. Only thing different between the model numbers will be jets or what side the throttle plate and or choke plate control linkages are on. If you want a hard copy of what is posted above, let me know and I can send you one.

Wilman, read your reply in the forum and I was wondering if you sent me your address, I would send you a SASE and maybe you would send me a carb diagram. Thanks in advance, Pete in Pa.

Will,

The picture didn't come through. Could you email it direct to me at [email protected]?

Thanks.

Should have a little brass tag on what would be the back side of the carb if it was on the manifold. The kit if you get a good one will have the picture/instruction you will need. My self I use Walker brand kits that I get from an O'riellys auto parts store, they will have of can get the kit you need, I know I still have part of a WC/WD/WD45 kit out in my shop. The kits will fit a good many differant carbs by the way.
