HI I dismantle many hd7 stering cluch but mine was wet stering cluch but yours should be a holder on and YOUNG DEN give you good instruction and last summer I BOUGHT 2 DRY STERING CLUCH LIKE YOURS FOR PARTS.

Been a long time since I saw one of those apart but I will try to tell you how. I think you have to pull the driven pinion to the outside. Out of the flange on the brake drum. Need to take flange away from brake drum to get at nut on pinion. The spline shaft thru the ring gear has to be slid all the way to the other side. Maybe both pinions have to be ou to slide the spline shaft far enough to get clearance to lift the drum out. The brake band has to be out of the way first. And the clutch release lever. Seems like there is a spacer that has a lock bolt. Loosen the lock and turn the spacer in the threads to make it shorter. Lokking at the parts book, that goes by s/n. Some don't have that. See how far that gets you. I could make you a scan of the parts book pages.
