Don, does it have a cab?? I agree with the other guys, that without fluid in the tires , wheel weights, etc. I think it would be around the 8000 pound mark. With a cab, it would be closer to 9000.

As per the tractor data book it list 2 weights for it. 7800 and 9100 not sure why the 2 weights other then maybe figureing for wheel weights and or fluids and fluid in the tires. I know from what I have been told the lower weight would be with out any fluids in the tractor, which means engine/tranny oil and fuel so the lager number may mean with all fluids filled. I know since your going that distance its better to be prepared for it to be heavyer then the 7800

In the Nebraska test book, it lists 7855# with no ballast.

The numbers I gave comes from a Hotline farm equipment guide. It also might depend on which series it is. I know over the years they improved the trannys in them and that may have added weight and the differance maybe from the series 1 to the series 4s
