Allis B starter problems.

I am working on a "rock pile" Allis B,
trying to bring it back to life. I aquired a complete stationary engine off a water pump, to use for accesories. I do not have the original starter for the B, and hoped to use the starter off the stationary engine. The mounting is different, and the stationary engine starter wont fit the B bellhousing. I have several starters off a WD, any reason why I can't convert one of these starters to fit the B? Any ideas?

Is anybody interested in the complete longblock assembly off the stationary engine? Its froze from sitting. I am located in Wis. Thanks, jimode

Some starters for the WD will work and others will not because they don't have the lock pin hole. I have used them back and forth before but if it only has the one lock bolt hole it may not work. I have one on my C that has both holes but I also have others with the single hole
