Well i got her. it was just the points or condencer. i replaced both. i want to thank all my allis friends. oh i know the answer to this i just want to know if i,m right. while fixing my allis b there has been cepage at the head gasket. when i would bring it up to compression for #1, i could here air from # 4 or just under it between the block and head. doesn't seem to bother it running good, but, should this be replaced asap or wait. i don't really use the B but to play around with in the yard. well now i got to go get gas. sure seems it uses alot. Gary

you know i here that used alot around the tractor shows. herd it was a good rust dents filler.. but yes the more i'm into this the more you learn. i was going to buy a gasket over the internet. i looked it up between $14 $18. so i knew what they were worth. i stopped on my way back from the market to the closet AC dealer. i asked him for it. just so happens he had one ."That'll be $3.95 sir". go figure. have a Merry Christmas***************

That speage may not be any thing but it could also be a big problem. If left like it is it can sort of cut away at the block/head and cause big problems down the road. I've sen more then one head/block with a litte groove cut into them from a bad head gasket and if it happens you then need to have the head and or block plained

hi Old, well it sounds like the guy swapping me tractors, wasn't to honest. i think i'll not run her to much before getting a head gasket on it. got to be easier than splitting her was. i don't have to bend over so much. i'll tell ya after i put those points and cond. in you can throttle her down and she just purrs, so she needed them, they were going bad anyways. thanx gary

Little thing like what your talked about are often never noticed by a person. A good share of people will never notice a little leak like that till it has gotten so bad that its eighr cause the engine not to run or it has let water into the oil etc. Shoot I have picked up tractors from people and showed them cracks in the block and they never even knew about the crack because some one else sold them the tractor and did a JB weld job and then painted over the JB weld so as to hide the crack
