Block heater for a 190XT diesel

Are there any pipe plugs on the block and head that can be removed to allow the use of a tank type heater?
If not or not without drilling and tapping ones can a lower radiator hose heater be safely used?

I have a 200 that has a place for a heater on the right side of the engine toward the back. I had to replace it once, I got the replacement from my agco dealer. I think the 190 would be the same. I think the 200 and 190 uses the 2900 engine.

On Dad's 190 we used the block drain hole the the supply for the tank heater and ran the output of the heater to a hole we tapped in the water pump where the lower hose goes on. you do not want to return the heated water to below the thremostat as this will cause the heated water to circulate throught the radiator.

I just went out to look again and I don`t see a block drain.This one would be a Series II by s/n.

I have only had the tractor since May and am a lot more familiar with IH and Deere at this point.

Block drain is located on the right side of block, between starter and a fuel filter. Op man says it is 'hidden'. Look behind the filter.
