Has anyone pulled the brake drum out of a CA rightside with the clutch if so how is the best way to get it out

We did this to our CA it did not requir a press but a Chery picker or a hoist is a good idea but 2 guys that realy wanted to might be abel to take the axal housing off the hard part with ours was the dirt and stuff caked in there has to be skrached out ours had a bad seal and the oil soaked up the clutch and the brakes if you put new linings on your bands make sure the band is not bent from prying it out becous the hinge was rusted solid and the band bent insted tried that the band did not straten to fit the linings and they would crack

I made a puller real cheap that has pulled quite a few B-C-CA brake drums. EASY. Email and I will describe in detail how to make one without investing in big red machinery. You won't destroy the axle seal either by using my type puller. Ken in Texas

When it comes to removing the brake drums on the B"s, C"s and CA"s. Dont matter which side I personally have only one way any more.

Not changing brakes. (Brake drums!) If the tractor was stored inside all its life the shaft will not be built up with rust mixed with old dirt and other stuff. The drums will pull off easy. Not very many clean rust free pinion shafts that the brake drums will slide off easy. The junk I buy to work on can be a real challenge without some extra help.
