gotta love a 'G' when it comes time to service it!

I'm taking my 49' G to a show this weekend, and thought I would roll her out of the garage and service her tonight as she doesn't get many hours a year.. and I know the short runs are hard on the oil.

I added fresh fuel and stabilizer, set the battery on trickle while I worked, adjusted tire pressure, and changed the oil.

Wow.. 5 minute oil change.. gotta love that... not to mention that little tractor is really economical on oil. ( small sump ).

Well she's allready for the show and parade this weekend... I got the SMV plaque all ready to mount, etc.

Anyone else showing lately?

Hi Soundguy: I recently purchased one that had the engine left open to the weather. Mice had built a nest in the bell housing and the starter,clutch is completely shot. The balance of the machine was fairly whole and complete. My observation during dismantling is that these machines are extremely simple to service. Got any photo's of your rig?

Yep.. small enough to manhandle even the 'big' parts.

Here's a pic of her at a show. Search 'tractor photos'.. for 'soundguy, and on page 2 and 3 of my listings.. there will be about 5 or 6 other pics of her.. from start to finish. When i got her she was pretty rough.

Post some of your pics as well.
