Irritating site problems?

First of all, this is a wonderful website with volumes of needed information...but is there a site moderator or administrator? I've noticed an ongoing problem for some time now. When trying to do a search of archives or photo ads, using the "back" button nearly always brings up a "page has timed out" message. This requires the user to go clear back to the beginning and resubmit the search criteria. Gets pretty frustrating when trying to find info or look at ads.

I was able to reproduce something like you described. Go to the Site Comments forum (link below) and see if this applies to you.

The same thing happens when I am looking at the pages in the Photo Ads. I have to go to the next page, then back to the first page, before I can use the "Back" button on my browser (which is Internet Explorer). If the search turned up fewer than 25 hits (which can be displayed on 1 page) I have to re-enter the search each time.

Hope you can find a fix! I can try to give you more specifics if you can let me know what info you need.

I'll answer over on Site Comments so more people from other forums can see and maybe join in if they have experienced it.

We'll get to the bottom of it. I put the link to site comments below.

Someone else reported that but I couldn't reproduce it. Can you tell me exactly what you do to get to that point starting from the forum or whereever you start. Like what box or link you use to get it going. Go ahead and post that on site comments because then others might respond who have the same problem and we'll get more information.

We don't want anyone to have that problem, we just can't fix what we can't see. Even if it's in some other part of the network or a browser setting, we should be able to do something about it.

Thanks,
Chris
