1937 WC - engine is shot, looking for ideas

I've got a 1937 WC that I'm hoping to restore over the winter. She's rusty, but complete. The fenders will need some sheetmetal work but should not be bad either. The tough part will be the engine. The current engine is shot. It has two cracks on the side, one running out from underneath a patch plate bolted to the right side. The head is cracked also. I figure I have to put another engine in, I know that other Allis engines will swap in, unfortunately this is my first Allis and I'm not sure where to go for an engine in SW Michigan. Anyone ever swaped a different make engine in? I've got a few Ford V8's laying around (352, 360, 351M and 400) I've also got four Farmall H blocks.

Anyone have any suggestions? If I can't go original, I'd rather have her at least look like a proper WC that just happens to have a different engine. Thanks!

I am seeing lots of Allis tractor parts including engines on Ebay that are in Michigan. It may take a few weeks but there are lots of Allis parts in Michigan.

Easier to stay original. WC, WD, WD45, Gleaner E engine, 201,226 power units and others bolt in. 11 salvage yards at 10888-845-8456, one in MI. Also 1-715-673-4829 in WI. Or find a parts tractor for 2-300.
