Have got an ad posted in the photo ads for the D-12 High Clearance. The owner and I cannot find the serial number on the tractor. On top of the transmission it say Tractor No. with nothing stamped under it. It is bare casting under original paint. Not ground off, not worn off, just nothing there. Where else could a person find the serial number of this tractor? The owner said it was custom ordered from a South Texas dealer originaly. Could it have just not been assigned a number accidentaly from factory? I don"t know much about Allis tractors. What do you all think?

You said tractor has a spot on top of transmission that says Tractor No. That would seem to be a RED flag. If you check Brian's web site above look under C or CA too - I don't thing D series had such a spot on top of trans - as I recall they were on edge of flange where trans / torque tube attaches to motor - maybe someone changed some parts or maybe what you have is not a D12

Thanks for your help. I will contact the owner and take a look and see if we can't find that number on there.

Left side of this page, under Research & Info- serial numbers. Look up AC. Number is on left side of torque tube, where engine bolts in.
