Will the pulley from my generator fit on the delco alternator? If not where can I find a pulley as wide as the others on the tractor? Or can i use a narrow belt in the wider pulleys if I keep it pretty tight. Thanks again to everybody for all the info I got out of the archives on this subject. Mike

Hi Mike,

The original generator pulley will fit on the Delco 10SI nicely. I assume it will on other Delcos also. I reused that pulley on my B with a 10SI three wire alternator. If you are using a one wire version, you might want to get a smaller diameter pulley to make sure it charges at idle w/o having to rev the engine. You can buy those special smaller diameter, wide belt pulleys for the 10SI. If you think you might want to go that way, I can dig out an on-line source for you. I didn't need to do that with a three wire unit.

Thanks Rod, It is a delco from a mid to late 80s monte carlo I think.I haven't found a model no. on it. It is a three wire GM though.I have my mounts fabbed and am fine tuning alignment, but the pulley question needed attention. Thanks again. Mike
