I'd like to buy a repair kit for my carb, but I can't read the number stamped on the disc on the carb. Any idea how I can tell what part number I should use when ordering the repair kit?

For Zenith, AC sold only 1 carb kit - 224008 - which were gaskets only and fit all models used on the 125 CID engine. Other parts had to be purchased separately. I've seen many such kits for sale in farm stores such as Tractor Supply Co.

Hi Steve,

If it was used originally by AC and you can read any of the numbers at all, you might be able to determine which it is from this list. I wouldn't confine it to 1939 either unless you are sure it hasn't been changed by someone in the past. I've never purchased a kit from the link but the ones I have bought locally from auto stores have covered several different models, typically the Zenith 61 and 161 series (popular models). Unfortunately with that situation, you pay for pieces you don't need and can't use and don't get things you might want. Those kits are basically just gaskets and a float needle/seat combo - no jets.

If you have a local Napa or Carquest auto parts store around they can get you a rebuild kit. I bought one many years ago from Carquest. The Napa and Carquest auto parts stores in my town have been here for ever and these guys still know how to open a book and thumb through a page or two to find out what you want.
