I would like to know the value of a HC5040 in fair but running condition? Also, are parts aviable, what years were they made, are they good tractors, and were they all made in Romaina? All the tag has is #46460 and eng.#89902. Thanks for the help.

It's a Fiat, Oliver did indeed sell a very similar tractor as did others. Certain parts are pricey (like the $90+ ignition switch) but most parts are available thru Agco.

A clean no cab no loader example runs $5-7000. Very sensitive to tire condition and power steering operation, that and wear in the front seem to be the big issues. My sister lovers her Oliver version and just wishes it started easier cold (the preheater is a joke and I won't let her ether it).

If by HC you mean "High Crop" I'd say it is a rare tractor and worth good money if it is in good shape.....never seen or heard of a high crop 5040. Other than that, all were made in Romania and certain parts can be a problem. I believe Long and Oliver sold the same tractor.
