A 200 is a nice tractor although they should have had an independant PTO. It will out plow, out chop and out pull most anything it was compared to and use a lot less fuel than a 4020 John Deere or 856 Farmall. I ran one on an old Fox 3000 chopper with a recutter and 2 row head and you couldn't kill it. Only burned 3 1/2 to 4 gallons of fuel an hour.

THe 200s are great tractors. we have a 190XT that has 11,000 and still going strong.

I've heard they can pop out of gear. A neighbor had one that I used a lot. It was running 125 hp, and was a real good pulling tractor. It would start good when it was cold out too. The power director always gave trouble, it never slipped, but a lot of time you would have trouble getting it in and out of gear. We always left it in high, but without it the tractor does not have live pto. A good tractor for pulling a disc, but not so good for baling hay.

Most times the gear popping can be fixed by fixing the shifter cover.

Many people put in gears, but usually their is no need to.

The 200 is an XT; beefed up and perfected. bigger final, oil pump, fan and water pump. The life left in it depends upon it's prior use. If it has been used responsibly and well cared for 10K hours is no big deal.

I had a series two XT Diesel. The most COMFORTABLE and powerful little tractor I ever had. Mine was set for about 115HP. The 200 has the same platform setup but is a much better horse. best, Yeoman
