Does anyone have an idea of about how much a typical Model B might weigh. I can't find it in the owner's manual, but need to have a rough idea before renting a trailer to haul it.

Rent a 6x12 open trailer from U-Haul. Run the front tires of the B up to the front wall. You can still crank start it, and it will be balanced nicely, can run 65-70mph like the trailer is not even back there.

Move the tractor back 16 inches and the trailer will weave all over the road, can't run above 50 mph without getting afraid!

Thanks for all the good input to my question. My tractor is a 1940 vintage with a BE # engine. Main seal is leaking oil and I need to haul it in for repairs.

Thr earlier B had a shipping weight of 1900#. When they went to the CE engine in 1943, the weight is shown as 2251. I don't know what might have been different by 351#.

My Nebraska test book shows a weight of 2,620 in test #302 in 1938 but my book also shows a bare weight of 2,251 in test #439 which was run in 1950. About 370 lbs different. Must have taken a lot of material out when they bored it from 3 1/4 to 3 3/8. ????? ???? Roger

I think the shipping weights would come from a flat car loaded with tractors with all the blocking and chains and then divided by the number of tractors on the flat car. I can pull a B in the 2000 pound classes without stripping it down.
