Wheel falls off

I have an Allis Chalmers B with a front end loader. The rear wheel keeps falling off.

The first time it fell off was when I pulled it back off its side. (I had rolled it).

I am new to this. Am I putting it on wrong or is something worn out, did I break something?

Where can I get new wheel clamps or a different wheel.

Whose idea was it to mount wheels this way?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies and pictures. They were very helpful. The bolts do have lobes on them and now I know what they're for.

Now if you can only tell me how to get the tractor to break down in the garage instead of ankle deep mud...

That never happens they always quit when they are out in the back 40. Or if its going to run out of gas it will do it as far away from the gas can as it can be or when you have just one more round to go etc. etc.

You know, isn't that the truth old... I swear, every time I run out of gas, it's at the FAR back of the farm, or as I'm swooping across on some hillside in the back 40. It's quite annoying. Nothing like the walk back to the shed to get the gas can, then the walk back to fill up the tractor.

Two of your bolts should have crosses on the head and two should not. If they do not you need to get a set of them. As stated the bolts with the crosses have to be oposit of the ones that do not.

This clamp has the cross bit it is for the early 1938 wheels. You should have two bolt heads on each wheel with this cross on.

As the other guys say and or you can buy rims to fit a Farmall B, they have loops instead if the clamp set up like the ones you have. They will bolt right on and then they will not fall off unless you brake the bolts. Your lucky to be alive seeing that you layed it over on its side. Most of the time if they go over on there side they keep going all the way over and believe me its not a pretty site to see a person under a tractor, so take it slow and be careful

Make sure the eccentrics are on adjacent, not opposite lugs.

The wheel clamps should have an excentric bolt on two of the clamps. When you turn the bolt it clamps down on the wheel. If you cannot lock the clamp with the excentrics you need to build up the clamping surface or replace the clamps.

They are just regular bolts. Perhaps that is the problem.

On each wheel 2 of the bolts should sort of look like they have lobes on them. They sort of look like the lobes that are on a cam shaft. If all or the bolts you have are normal bolts yep thats where your problem is. You should be able to get new cam type bolts from an AGCO dealer. But if you can't let me know I think I have a few of them in my shop. E-mail is open
