bought tractor this past june. started right up everytime (battery seemed to be fully charged) only used it to mower some hay about 6 times. it sits other then that. the last time I used it to cut hay I had to bump start it (battery seemed to be dead) after I cut the hay it started fine (with the starter) left it set for a few weeks and again had to bump start it. today I tried starting it...no luck. I've been charging it for about 30 minutes and it's still dead....what the heck. old battery? a short is draining it as it sits? how do I check it out?

With a good battery in it, pull one of the battery cables off with the switch off. If you see a spark when you do you have something draining the battery. It would also help if you said if its a 6 volt or 12 volt system becuase the cause of a battery drain is differnat in the 2 of them or can be
