wc drive train noise

i have 42' wc with a loud grinding whining noise any time you release the clutch at first it only did it when just running not when i was pulling now it has started to make the noise any time it is moving
it doesn't matter what gear it is in either
so far i haven't had time to jack it up and run it to locate the source i just thought some one here might have had this same problem

if i do have to go into the drive train does the rear end have to be separated from the frame?

i've never been into one of these type tractors

any help will be appreciated

Confused about your comment about the noise first when just running, then when moving, unless it's between clutch and transmission input. Noise when moving likely a bearing or bad gears. Access to the differential gears is by splitting the diff from the frame. Jack up the tractor and turn the wheels by hand with tranny in neutral to check from output through rear axles.

I notice my WD has some whine in the rear right wheel when I go fast or pull hard, and it kind of bothers me. Also, I can hear the clutch "pop" when I release it...

Whats the fluid look like in all the drive areas?? You may have a wtaer problem. Most of the WC/WDs I have seen make a good bit of noise because of the type of gears they have. But if the fluids are bad and have a lot of water in them they make a whole lot more noise and will end up going bad fast because of rust etc.
