I have a 1966 D17 IV to restore. My queston is if
I put it back like new what kind of money would it
take to do. The sheet metal is pretty straight.
Needs rear wheels,seat,sterring wheel,all gauges,
brakes, rad.,overhaul,tool box,lights,clutch,so
a lot of new parts. But I want to do a first class
job. Iam also going to hire it all done.

i just started my D17 sIV. paint alone was $875.00. doin't need engine work, just sand blast sheet metal.new seat steering wheel.decals that i'am having a hard time finding them.new spin out rims $750.00.with labor,i think it is going to run me $2000.00,but it will be like new, tractor has only 1850hrs.with fractory 3-point.

A quick check of the flat rate manual, looks to me like you are looking at something over 75 hours of labor. Engine and clutch are 30.9 hours alone, paint 11.9. I`d be surprised if parts weren`t at least $3000, plus tires.
