Got in/hauled in what I believed to be a C yesterday but, when I checked the serial numbers this is what I found B33819 which says its a B 1940 but it has the narrow front of the C and the wide rear end like a C not a B. So I'm guessing this is a mutt tractor that some one took parts from 2 or 3 and made one out of. Does that sound about right since its has the C front and C wider rear end that a B wouldn't have. When its sitting by my C they look the same other then the serial number. By the way it was locked up yesterday but after a few hours of tranny fluid I drove it this morning

If it has the cultivator bracket holes front and back on the final drives between the fenders and tires it is a C with a B transmission. If it has the support bracket under the steering box arm it would be a C torque tube.

From what I can tell/see everything is just like my other C other then the numbers/tranny case so I'm guessing some one replaced the tranny or tranny case at some point in time. Oh well to me its a C but now the fun of figureing out what year the engine etc is. Guess thats all part of playing with these old tractors

I have part of a C out back that has the CA four speed transmission. You can do about any combo with those three tractors and I might add many have.
