Splitting a 'C'

I plan on splitting my '43 'C'. Any words of wisdom on how to best support the engine (from above, from below, lift points, etc.)? The torque tube is already supported by stands and the front support has been removed. I'd just as soon not disturb the head bolts if possible. Any ideas on what the engine weighs?

Tell us what you have to work with and someone will be able explane how to do the job safely. -- SAFELY!-- The engine weighs about 250# give or take a little. I use jack stands and an engine lift along with a floor jack. If you don't have these items a good heavy duty block an tackle, chain fall, or tractor loader to lift the engine. If I'm not disasembling the engine I use two chains front and back under the pan to the center of the engine on top with one hook point. If this is not clear please post your questions. This is not a hard task if you have done it before. Toes take a long time to heal if you drop an engine on them. Good Luck!
