I have a1938 allis B, and a 1953 CA. I was changing the oil in the CA, it has a small tube that goes from the filter base up into the filter. The B does not. Everthing is the same but for the tube. Is my B missing this small tube? thank you

Check in the old filter to see if the tube is still in the filter.

yes, all B,C, and CA tractors had the tube up the middle of the flitler. ALL of the filters should look like a stuffed cotton rag unit, no paper elements.. The oil goes up the middle of thefilter thru the tube, then filters thru the rag untill it drains back to the motor sump. On most motors the oil is filtered, then pushed thru the bearings. On the small CE motor, 15% of the oil is filtered and dumped back to sump. 85% of the oil is used for lube and is not filtered.
