Started to tear it down to find the water leak in the crankcase. Before i got too far i started looking for a rebuild kit. I can't find one for a 2500 series gas. Accually there are very few parts available at all. Should i give up on this engine and swap in a desiel? Would a 2800 desiel bolt right up? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

LLR, I did some research last night, and it looks like the gas engine for the 190 could have been a Waukesha it matches the specs for an Oliver 1800 and the fact it was a one time deal for AC it makes me think that even more because AC usually has very good documentation for their long running engines. Now that you posted this message those engines were indentical in looks and they were both gas sucking powerhouses also the 265ci matches. good luck, CT.

You are right there were very few of these made and unfortunately I"m not an AC specialist on them, but we had a dealership for awhile and only saw one 190 gas tractor that had an issue of a fuel pump filling the crankcase with gasoline due to a fuel pump diaphragm leaking. I"m thinking that maybe you might have a sleeve o-ring leaking if it is a wet sleeve tractor. I know a lot of diesel engines rotate in opposite directions thus is why the exhaust is on the different side, Sorry, not much help I know.
