Just bought a 1938 "B" the engine is very hard to crank,its as if the tractor is in gear, its not atall like my "C" that is very easy.
I was afraid the engine was partley sezed, but when I removed the plugs it turns over very easy, any ideas as to what might be wrong with her ?

sounds lke hig compression, was the mtor rebuit recently or planned the head? if it is just "tight" from new bearings, pull start and work it for an hour and it will loosen up.
