Greetings,
I have aquired a 100KW standby generator that is powered by an AC 11000 diesel engine and I'm having trouble finding information about this engine. I know that it was used in crawlers and marine applications but that's about all I can find out. This unit hasn't been run since 2001 and it was froze up. I was able to free it and get it to run for short bursts on ether. (I know, ether is bad stuff so save the lectures).
The injection pump is trash, full of rust and crud and I have located a replacement that is off an Oliver 2655.
So if anyone has a lead to information on this engine I'd appreciate a heads up.
Thanks,
CaptRon

UPDATE: Allis Chalmers Model 11000 Engine in reply to CaptRon, 09-20-2006 19:11:48
third party image

I got a rebuilt Roosa-Master injection pump and after replacing the oil cooler hoses the engine runs great. I had to take the electric shut-down solenoid off the old Stanadyne pump and now it is able to shut down with the switch and the safeties work again.

The generator started popping the field circuit breaker and I had to replace the 3 diodes to get it working again.

All I need now is a fuel tank and a muffler.

Thanks,
CaptRon

HI I dismantle 2 motor 11000 for parts and you can use ROSA MASTER or AMERICAN BOSCH fuel pump.

About my last post - I might of goofed a bit. The 11000 Buda engine may be the six-cylinder version of the 344 engine (four cylinder) used in the HD6 - I don't remember. If so, most parts are the same, just six cylinders instead of four.

It's a Buda engine, 344 cubic inches. The early engines, as used in HD6 crawlers had precombustion chambers called "energy cells", whereas the later engines are a little different. There are many places to get parts, including AGCO (formerly industrial AC dealers) and from the Buda Engine company in Lousiana. The later is at: Link
