AC-WC rearends

I have 2 wc allis tractors one is a war tractor and has a tin rearend the other is newer and has a cast iron rearend both resemble a truck rearend, can anyone tell me who made this for allis or is it their rearend?

I don"t know who made them, but the WC transmission and differential assemblies were purchased from outside suppliers. THey were not made by AC. THis is from page 47 of Swinford"s book.

Allis made both of the rear ends as far as i know. The tin one is a war model.

the tin one has spring pads welded to the top of it and the flange on the end looks like a truck brake backing plate would bolt to it.

AC mite have redesigned them to fit something besides tractors...lots of companies made parts for war effort.
