B brake spring holes

Ended up with a set of manual brake final drive housings on my foot brake B. If I remember correctly the hole in the housing that the spring hooks to is higher for the foot type. Or is it the screw adjuster (which I have) versus the nut adjuster? Either way, can someone tell me how far down from the seat rail mounting flat the top of the hole should be for a foot brake screw adjustor set up?

I never put a rule to them but have changed several B"s over to the foot brakes using the orginal final drives and the same springs work for both.

Hi,

That hole on my '42B with foot brakes (w/screw adjuster) is vertically oblong in shape, about 1/2" wide X about 3/4" long (tall). The top of the hole opening where the spring hook attaches is about 2" down from the flat where the fender/seat support angle mounts.
