Hi all,

My wife and I finally scraped together enough money to buy a small piece of land. I've gardened extensivley before (up to a 1/2 acre), but since the land we bought comprises 24 acres, we wanted to get a small "used" tractor to help us out. It's a rebuilt 1964 Model D-10. What type of attachments can this little tractor handle or not handle?

A lot depends on your soil type or the type of work you want to do.
2 bottom plow
6 foot tandem disk
5 foot blade

4/5 foot brush hog

Thanks John,

Sounds like it should cover about everything we want to do. The field, which has been farmed before should be suitable for vegetable crops. That is our initial goal. The land was farmed off and on since the mid 1800s, but has been fallow for the last 6 years. We're anxious to start using it.

I'm going to get some more experience before jumping into the bush hogging operation. My brother in law has lots of years doing that, so maybe he can get me up to speed on it.
