well i finally got the d14 running. the distributor was a tooth off. i also had to plug the extra hole in the manifold. clutch works great. i only have a couple issues.

do you have to "bleed" the oil pressure gauge? i see there is air in the line (new aftermarket) and it wont escape and pressure only reads 5-7psi.

i have tried twice to seal the rubber valve cover gasket. is there a specific torque spec? i used rtv on both sides of the gasket (not too much).

the oil tube tee also leaks. can i teflon tape this?

air in the oil pressure line wont change reading that much...i actually prefer to have some air in there for a cushion on plastic lines.

i've never had any luck with rubber valve cover gaskets on anything...all they do is leak...try to find cork.

on the tee you can use teflon tape or pipe dope...i use kopper koat on my fittings.
