Hi Randy,

Blade for the front or for the rear? I can provide suggestions for mounting, pictures and actual fabrication drawings for a front lift if that is your interest. For a rear blade, however, you should probably look into a commercially available 3pt hitch conversion.

Randy, here's one of my web pages with pictures of my front lift. A link therein will get you my .pdf file with dimensioned fabrication drawings if you wish to make one like it. Mine uses the original hand hydraulic pump but you could run hydraulic hose from your standard pto pump up to the front so you could use your existing hydaulic lever. You'll need to pick up a single acting cylinder somewhere or make any necessary modifications so you could use the standard AC cylinder. There is a link within the .pdf to the cylinder that is used on my lift so you can get the dimensions of the one originally used in that arrangement. If you want or need to use a handcrank, you'll need to modify the standard AC one to clear the mechanism. There's also a link within the .pdf to show what's needed in that regard

The V-plow used 2.5x2.5x5/16 angle iron push beams mounted on the drawbar in the rear. The drawbar may have to be moved (rotated) to the upper position to get the correct slope - I can't remember. There was a push beam on either side of the engine and they were connected together with a cross member at their front end. They extended under (and to the front of) the front wishbone axle to provide a pivot point for the plow. The push beams were supported amidships with drops from the attaching holes in the front end of the torque tube, just like the AC B/C belly sickle mower is supported. I don't have pictures of those beams or their installation since I used them during the widening of my V-plow.

I hope this helps you out or gives you some ideas of your own. If you have other questions, fire away. Maybe I can help and maybe I can't.

Rod
